The Library of Babel, a short story by Venezuelan writer Jorge Luís Borges, is here conceived as an interactive reading experience.
As an experimental exercise, I aimed to play with the expansive theme of the story, doing so by intersecting graphic and typographical elements with technical features available on the pdf format (such as fill-in forms, buttons, images, hidden elements, etc). Embedding this new kind of energy and gamification to the text allows for undertaking the reader’s attention in a very different way, in the hopes of re-engaging them in the reading experience.
